This is a list of the frequently asked question about the Pyro Systems 2000
A: To be independent of all the PC operating systems and all
the disadvantages combined with them we do not plan to develop a PC fireworks
software. But we are thinking of programming the Pyro Masters with the
help of a PC.
A: The smallest programmable time frame is 0.1s (100 ms). Internally
the Pyro Master operates with a resolution of 10 ms. Therefore it is possible
to use the same time for fife channels without a visible time jitter at
the fireworks effects.
A: Pyro Master and Pyro Slave are completely independent of any
mains power supply. Each operate with its own internal 12V DC accu. All
Pyro Masters (except PM 2001 light) are equipped with an accu charger unit
for the Pyro Slaves. The Pyro Masters are available for 230V AC (50 Hz)
and 110V AC (60 Hz).
A: Since there is no "energy transport" over the Pyro Cables
the overall cable length is only limited by the protocol and the used baud
rate. Currently it is limited to 1000m (3300 ft).
A: The best performance (up to 3300 ft cable length) is reached
using a 2 wired cable plus an additional wire for shielding. But any 3
pin XLR cable with no signal crossing could be used.
A: NO! The handheld version of the PyroMaster is 100% compatible
to the "big" PyroMaster. It is available in two versions, with and without
SMPTE. The number of channels and the functionality is like on the "big"
PyroMaster.
The only difference is that the handheld version has no battery changer
unit for the PyroSlaves.
